Why Hawaii?

With a quick Google search, you will find that Hawaii is the perfect destination for a wedding. The state offers an incredible mix of natural beauty, tropical weather, and cultural heritage that will make your wedding an unforgettable experience.  Each Hawaiian island offers its own unique features and has a variety of vendors to work with to make your wedding day unforgettable!

What’s the Cost of a Wedding in Hawaii?

This is probably the first thing discussed by any couple when considering a destination wedding. It’s important to have a budget in mind so when you are reaching out to Hawaii vendors, you can begin to decide what is most important…..and what you can possibly do yourself. This is why we have put together a directory of wedding vendors in Hawaii so you can gather information and begin to get quotes for different services.

Hawaii is a beautiful place to get married, but it comes with a price. The average cost of a wedding in Hawaii is $27,000, which is higher than the national average of $26,213. That being said, we’ve seen a large number of beautiful weddings that have taken place in Hawaii for less than $15,000.  This all depends on the venue you choose, attendance, what you’ll be feeding your guests, entertainment, drinks, rentals, flowers, etc.

The cost of a wedding in Hawaii can vary greatly depending on what type of wedding you want and how much you are willing to spend.

Places to Get Married In Hawaii

Trust me when we say that Hawaii has some of the most breathtaking venues to get married at and can often be cheaper than hotel weddings we’ve seen on the mainland. It offers so many beautiful natural settings and a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. The islands are home to many amazing beaches, waterfalls, and other scenic locations that make for wonderful wedding locations.

There are a number of different types of venues in Hawaii where you can get married. You can choose from traditional church weddings, beachside ceremonies, or even rooftop weddings with panoramic views of the city. There are also many unique places to get married including an abandoned sugar mill or a botanical garden with lots of flowers and plants for your special day.  One of our favorite venues is Paliku Gardens which is located at Kualoa Ranch on Oahu (pictured above).  This venue can hold 250 guests and offers breathtaking views of the ocean and Kualoa mountains.

Hawaii Wedding Venues and What They Offer

Wedding venues in Hawaii are not just about the location. If you want to have a perfect wedding, you need to choose the perfect venue that can provide you with all the amenities that you want.

There are many different types of wedding venues in Hawaii and you need to decide what is most important to you. You can choose a venue that offers waterfront views, a tropical garden wedding, by a waterfall or even on a mountain top!

You don’t have to spend a lot of money on a wedding if you don’t want to, but it is important to make sure that the venue is what you really want because it will be where your wedding takes place!  You should also check with the vendors you plan to work with to see if they are able to work with that wedding venue as some locations have an approved vendors list.

How to Choose Good Hawaii Wedding Vendors

This is something a lot of people overthink when it comes to their wedding. Instead of stressing about how to choose the best vendors to work with, understand that each vendor offers a unique touch to their services. These are mostly small family owned businesses that pour their blood, sweat and tears into their craft and you can often see that based off their reviews, websites, photos, etc.

The following is a list of some things you should think about when hiring vendors for your wedding:

-Do they have experience?

-Do they have references?

-Are they flexible?

-How much do they charge?

-What are their cancellation policies?

-What are their payment policies?

What Time of the Year is Best to Get Married in Hawaii?

You may already know this, but Hawaii’s weather is pretty amazing year round. The average temperature is 80 degrees fahrenheit and sunny which makes it ideal for outdoor weddings. With that being said, the peak wedding season in Hawaii is typically between March – August. This doesn’t mean that the other parts of the year aren’t good times to get married here, however the summer months tend to provide the best weather.

If you’re planning to host your wedding outdoors, then rain is always something you want to consider. Be sure to discuss this with the venues and the wedding vendors as a possibility as some parts of the Hawaiian Islands can get quite a lot of rain.
